Artist's Comments

I had to do this, there was no other option.

Those of you who know me will be aware of my Magpie like tendancies towards anything made of glass.
Those of you who don't know me will have just found that out.

I've had these bottles for years and years and years and they are my favourite bottles because they're all wobbly and wibbly and LOOK AT THE PRETTY COLOURS! Can you see them? Aren't they pretty?

I've made a conscious decision to get my behind in gear, finish off everything that's been lurking on my PC for the last year and get myself a DA Print account.

Also to branch out and try different styles and subjects that aren't just people.

Hot damn!

So, I finished this and I have no idea how long it took me because I didn't pay any attention to time whatsoever. Nyah.

Wacom, Paintshop Pro, Photoshop, hundreds of bloody layers and about half an hour staring at the picture because it was so pretty.

I love teh shiny and I'm discouraging critique just because I can, Bwaaaaah!

Thank you for looking :)

It is unfortunate that you didn't have all 7 of the ROYGBIV colors to complete the rainbow,
but it's still a gorgeous image. I'm +fav'in it!

Excellent... everyone else seems to be modelling glass in 3D or photographing it with their fancy-ass Canon Digital Rebel in a studio. But actually painting it instead... gotta applaud that! Very nice result. :D
:icondemonika:
Lol thanks :)

I wish I had a fancy-ass Canon and a studio, then I could (dare I say it?) TAKE OVER THE WORLD! Muhahhahahah!

Yeah... I'm just envious too... of COURSE I want my own fancy-ass Canon Digital Rebel and a studio, but that'll have to wait until I'm rich and famous.

Doesn't change the fact that your pic is good though.

Thank you :beaming:

Thank you :)

I love these bottles so much, they were a pleasure to draw and they're soooooo shiny and colourful!
:icondemonika:
I know :(

I would have loved the other two bottles but I got these ones at a bizarre motorway service station and they didn't have any other bottles apart from these ones.

Which is why I bought them all.

I can't even remember where that place is now and it's probably been taken over by several different companies since I was there. And I'll bet they charge £15.89 for a cup of tea as well.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work and for leaving such a great comment :)

Very pretty indeed! I'd ask how you do this stuff... but it would be a waste as I will never try anything that I cannot finish in a couple of hours. :) Your "paintings" are impressive to say the least! :)
:icondemonika:
You can always ask me whatever you like and I'll be more than happy to answer, even if you use it or not ;)

I've found Poser increasingly annoying for the last few months as I just can't get it to produce exactly what I want, which is something that has arms and legs that don't disappear into it's face if you bend a thumb more than two millimetres to the right.

And something that doesn't still look like Vicky 3 even when you've spent two hours morphing her face in.

Hence me spending most of my time working on the 2D stuff and generally practicing all the techniques I put aside when I started using Poser.
