Anyone who is familiar with Laurell K Hamilton's "Merry Gentry" series will know this character.
Meredith NicEssus - Princess of Flesh and Blood, heir to the throne of the Unseelie Court.

Anyone unfamiliar with the books won't know what the buggers I'm talking about.
So, to cut it short. She's a faerie princess, private investigator and enjoys a good orgy.

Great.

I happen to rather like the books and as she's such a great character I thought she'd be fun to paint.

I started this piece several weeks ago but didn't get round to finishing it as my Mum was taken into hospital, unfortunately her cancer had spread and she passed away last Friday, the day before her birthday.

I am dealing with it, I am coping but I miss her so much and it's going to be extremely weird not being able to talk to her anymore as she was really my best friend. Due to "things" I haven't been sleeping much of late and decided to calm myself down by finishing this off. So here it is.
